WHAT : The Pacific Village and Earth School is an oceanside sanctuary where an intentional student community enjoys the freedom to study a range of mainstream regenerative degree or certificate programs while weaving an ancient understanding of “connecting to country” into a cocreated residential experience.

 

perm-principles-1024x976Regenerative sciences such as Deep Ecology, Systems Thinking and Permaculture principles, merge with Ancient Wisdoms, natural history, biology, ecology, cosmology and creative expression , to collectively blend into a nourishing and rhythmic daily culture.  Rewilding, food as medicine, the arts, deep listening, ceremony and ritual weave experientially to empower each individual to find their most potent expression.

“Regenerative development and design provide a framework for creating, applying, adapting and integrating a blend of modern and ancient technologies to the design, management and continuing evolution of sustainable built environments, accomplishing positive ecological and social results that include:

  • improving the health and vitality of human and natural communities—physical, psychological, economic and ecological;
  • producing and reinvesting surplus resources and energy to build the capacity of the underlying relationships and support systems of a place needed for resilience and continuing evolution of those communities;

Fostering strong networks of working practitioners whilst connecting networks of Elders to potential new land custodians, Pacific Earth School builds an active knowledge base for sharing and applying ancient wisdom to restore balance to our world.

Pacific Earth School offers a world first : a year-long Regenerative Odyssey Mastery Program ( ROMP ) for up to 200 international, adult students, living, learning and cocreating an ecological cultural village and wilderness camp on the Pacific Coast of Australia.

We call this Regenerative Odyssey “the great journey” or, the Earthwalk.

While walking the 5 Sacred Pathways of Biocultural Restoration in a real life village context, we regenerate our world by our own walking within it. In this way we join in “The Great Work”. As Dr John H Todds explains in the video below.

This is life­changing and world­changing professional development – an epic adventure amongst the oldest custodial wisdom on Earth.

WHERE:   Minjerrabah/Stradbroke Island, QLD, AUSTRALIA.
WHY: The world we live in requires regeneration on an urgent and massive scale. For humanity to be able to meet this challenge within several generations, large numbers of willing, capable, skilled and empowered individuals are needed now to work collectively to undertake the strategic restoration of our planet.

The living wisdom held in the Indigenous Elders of this Earth needs to be urgently passed on to a new generation of capable custodians. The people in the world who are motivated to lead this work are disparate and few. ­ To succeed they require the time and space to collaborate, synthesise and upgrade their professional and personal capacity to respond to the Earth’s current crisis whilst having direct access to the Elders who carry original custodial wisdom.

HOW:  Earth School creates the sanctuary to develop the skills and capacity of large groups of Regenerative Leaders, empowering them to collectively create, support and protect bio­cultural sanctuaries across the Earth in response to the urgent call for restoration from Indigenous Elders and Mother Earth.  This School is step one of a master plan to develop 150 communities in the next 10 years along the East Coast of Australia and the graduates of this leadership program will be fully equipped to be project leaders on large scale regenerative projects.
